When looking to book a hotel for your trip, there are a lot of things to consider. Price, location and are children allowed might seem like some very keen criteria, but what else are people looking for?

Below, our team look at some of the must haves when it comes to booking a hotel.

Free Wi-Fi

Amazingly, the days of not taking a phone and breaking away completely from the outside world are gone. Now you need to post everything on social media, tag your mates in and tell the world of all your adventures. To be able to do this without charges, wi-fi is a must.

Good transport links

Further to the idea that you might want to break away, transport options that are good are also a must have. No-one wants to spend their whole holiday driving places and playing designated driver, so make sure taxi networks, trains (if applicable) and bus stops ate close to the hotel so you can get around easily.

Reviews

Make sure you check out the reviews of the hotel before you book and don’t just look at the bad ones. Try and get a rounded view of what to expect. This can highlight things such as the need to book taxis, or how popular the restaurant is so that you do not have a bad experience whilst you are there due to bad planning. Every hotel has a bad review, so maybe have a chuckle at some of them too.

Value for money

Do your research and make sure you are getting value for money. Lots of hotels may try a trick to get you in to the room, but everything else is on top, which can lead to you getting an experience that costs more than you expected. Make sure you can out the research and get the right value for money.

Breakfast

Everyone loves food so make sure that is included with your room. You don’t want to have expensive costs each day for your breakfast if you don’t need to.

So, the next time you are looking at booking a hotel, make sure you consider these key factors and don’t get caught out when it comes to booking your dream venue.
